Pierre Ferrand “1840 Original Formula” Grande Champagne Cognac was developed by Alexandre Gabriel, the company’s proprietor, Christian Guerin, its cellar-master, and David Wondrich, American spirits and cocktail historian. Closely modeled on a rare, perfectly preserved bottle of Pinet-Castillon Cognac from the year 1840, this expression of Pierre Ferrand recreates the kind of Cognac that bartending pioneers of the 19th century would have used for their Juleps, Crustas and Punches.
